Popular Low Mileage 3rd Gen CR-V (2007-2011) With Low Miles In Desirable Taffeta White!2010 Honda CR-V EX
The 2010 Honda CR-V EX is a third-generation compact SUV, second to last year of the body that ran from 2007 through 2011. This one is a 2WD EX with 132,000 miles, a two-owner Carfax, no accidents, seven service records, and a clean title. It is finished in Taffeta White with a light gray cloth interior. Taffeta White was one of the most ordered colors on this generation, and a 2010 EX at this mileage is the combination buyers still look for.

The Generation
Honda built the third-generation CR-V from 2007 through 2011. It replaced the second generation, which had run from 2002 through 2006, and it was the first CR-V with a tailgate that opened upward instead of to the side. The body was wider, the cargo floor was lower, and the spare moved under the rear load floor. LX, EX, and EX-L were the trims. Real Time four-wheel drive was available. The 2WD was the lighter, simpler layout. Production ended after 2011, when the fourth generation arrived for 2012. A 2010 is the second-to-last year of that run, with the 2011 the final year.
Power and Fuel Economy
The engine is the 2.4L inline-four with i-VTEC. For 2010 Honda rated it at 180 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 161 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm, up from the earlier third-generation rating. The transmission is a 5-speed automatic. EPA figures for the 2010 2WD automatic are 21 city, 28 highway, and 24 combined. The tank is 15.3 gallons, and the fuel is regular unleaded. Honda’s specification sheet lists a 100,000-mile no-scheduled-tune-up interval on this engine.
The 2.4L VTEC 4-Cylinder
The 2.4L is the K-series four Honda used across the CR-V for most of its life. The first CR-V used a 2.0L. From the second generation on, the 2.4L became the engine, and the third generation carried that same layout: aluminum block and head, dual overhead cams, 16 valves, i-VTEC, and a timing chain. It was also the engine in the Accord and the Element of the same era. Output on this 2010 is 180 horsepower. There is one engine family in the lineup, no optional V6, and the same basic design stayed in the CR-V through the following generation. That is the record buyers are buying when they look for a CR-V of this year.
Taffeta White, and This Year
Taffeta White is the clean Honda white of this generation, code NH-578, and it was one of the highest-volume colors Honda painted on the third-generation CR-V. It shows the body lines and it is the color most of these trucks left the factory in. A 2010 is the second-to-last year of the generation. The redesign came for 2012. At 132,000 miles, with two owners, no accidents, and seven service records, this is the low side of what a 2010 EX usually shows up with.
The EX
The EX sat between the LX and the EX-L. Over the LX it added 17-inch alloy wheels, a power moonroof, steering-wheel audio controls, and a security system. The EX-L added leather and heated seats. This truck is the cloth EX, light gray, which is the middle trim with the moonroof and the alloys and without the leather. Cargo volume is 35.7 cubic feet behind the rear seat and 72.9 cubic feet with the seat folded. Seating is for five.
How It Stood Against the Field
The 2010 compact-crossover class was the Toyota RAV4, the Ford Escape, the Chevrolet Equinox, the Hyundai Tucson, and the Subaru Forester. The RAV4 offered a V6. The Escape was near the end of its own generation. The Equinox had just been redesigned. The CR-V was the volume leader in the class, with the 2.4L, the 5-speed automatic, and the flat cargo floor. Period rankings put it at or near the top of that group on room, fuel economy for a 2WD, and the service record of the K24. The 2WD EX was the specification most buyers ordered when they did not need all-wheel drive.
What the Press Wrote
- U.S. News, citing the period tests, rated the 2010 CR-V 9.1 out of 10 and placed it among the best in the class for ride, cargo room, and safety scores. NHTSA’s five-star frontal and side results are the figures those reviews used.
- Edmunds and Kelley Blue Book listed the EX as the trim that added the moonroof and 17-inch alloys over the LX, and listed the 2.4L automatic 2WD at 21 city and 28 highway.
- Motor Trend’s coverage of the third generation treated the CR-V as the benchmark of the class, with the 2010 update adding the 180-horsepower rating and a short list of cosmetic changes before the generation closed out in 2011.
