You are looking at locally and family owned ’73 International Harvester Scout II with 96K original miles purchased brand new here in Santa Maria, CA.This Scout has stayed in the family all these years and sat in the barn for many years until it was taken out and restored around 2011. Original owners service policy, build sheet, and dealer invoice are included with the sale and can be seen below.

A true barn find!

To find a Scout of this age with its original seat upholstery, door panels, dash, flooring is rare. A true barn find.  The original 304 V-8 was replaced many years ago with a 345 V-8 from a ’74 Scout ii that the family also owned. The original #20 Spicer 3-Speed automatic transmission remains in the vehicle. A 2-1/2″ Rancho Lift Kit was installed with new polyurethane leaf spring bushings on front and rear leaf packs, upgraded aluminum wheels with BFG AT tires finish off its current look. The original gas tank was replaced with a new fiberglass gas tank. New exhaust system, fuel tank sending unit, fuel line, 4BBL Edelbrock carburetor have been installed on this Scout.

Extra’s not on the Scout but will include with the sale include:

• front bumper guard
• roll bar
• gas tank skid plate
• original stock hub caps (like new)
• repair manual 

The factory Dana 44 w/ trac-loc 3.73 RR axle remains. With the exception of the service items listed above and the 345 V-8 this Scout II retains all of its original items which are listed on the build sheet below. This Scout ii has been here in San Luis Obispo County its whole life and has a great story behind it with the documentation to prove it.
